Russian Women and Their Hierarchy of Needs

In the past, dating a Russian woman could mean dating the entire motherland. Obviously not in a literal sense, but in that the majority of women in Russia are a direct product of their societal upbringing and influence from previous generations.

These were the people who came before; citizens of a nation that existed in the industrial era which saw gender roles in Russia and the very nomenclature of Russian society begin to emphasize and solidify as the world plunged into conflict.

The Second World War along with the nation’s bumpy past is what gave rise to the genuine identity of Mother Russia, which is evident in its people.

In reality, that’s not a bad thing for modern Russian society.

In fact, women in Russia and their fellow countrymen owe their resilience to their past, which is highly fascinating to think about.

For both men and women, their unique needs and wants are directly dictated by the historical path taken by society and those who govern it, particularly in terms of culture, tradition, and collective attitudes towards a variety of societal functions, such as manual labor, family planning, gender roles, and many more.

It’s safe to assume that a society’s course of history determines the framework and layout of the hierarchical needs of its people, which is why girls from different cultures have different needs.

Factors such as war, politics, circumstance, and environmental strife may greatly affect the priorities of people who lived through them in the past (as well as the priorities of the subsequent generations that gave rise to the modern people’s hierarchy of needs).

This is a key cornerstone of Russian culture that directly influenced their motivation and personality for quite a long time now.

Basically, this article seeks to talk about the general hierarchy of needs for Russian girls, and not only in the context of dating, but in the context of life as a whole.

So before we jump head-first into that subject, let’s put it this way:

In order to discuss the hierarchy of a Russian female’s needs, it’s important that we touch a little on the cultural background of these women, as well as the current worldwide perception towards them.

Cultural Background and Worldwide Perception

The iconic phenomenon of the strong and independent Russian woman is a cultural representation of a proud society’s perseverance through a generation of struggle — one that embodies the physical and mental toughness of a female taking on responsibilities and tasks well beyond those expected of women in other societies.

This aggressive independence greatly adds to the overall mystique and appeal of a Russian woman’s beauty — an appeal unlike many others; one that captivates the hearts of men and women everywhere — both online and in reality.

A specific preference for Russian women is highly noticeable on dating sites that largely cater to the Caucasian demographic of all ages, seeking both long and short-term relationships.

Many men have asked themselves at one point: “Why are Russian women so beautiful?”

To most of us, it’s no secret that Russian girls are naturally attractive in their able physique and independent nature.

This is part of the reason why Björk was perceived as being incredibly attractive (and not to mention highly relevant) back in the late eighties.

Her imagery was a vital turning point for many young men who made the transition from boyhood to teen years, and helped many young people realize their initial sexual preferences in the experimental stage of self-discovery.

Most people who were born back in the early to mid nineteen-seventies and went through adolescence in the late eighties and early nineties probably remember Björk very fondly — one of the cutest and prettiest representations of female European excellence at the time, and still one of the most attractive European women in pop culture history — not to mention an exceptionally talented musician.

Although she was in fact Icelandic and not Russian, the phenomenon of her visual and musical aesthetic transcended time and culture.

In the eyes of the Western world, her imagery solidified a clear beauty standard for women of Nordic, Slavic, and Germanic descent, and served as a pioneering cultural icon of this particular brand of beauty and talent.

Someone who’s interested in dating a Russian woman needs to be able to fully grasp the scope of her needs and wants — a complex yet simple cohesiveness between necessity and desire influenced by culture.

In some societies around the globe, women’s priorities remain constant due to the fact that, at their very core, they all share biological similarities in the most basic, primal needs of a human being fulfilling a female evolutionary role, free from any intrusive reason to do otherwise.

However, in the context of women from Russia, it’s widely understood that their needs and wants differ slightly from that of other women in different societies.

Now let’s take a look at their hierarchy of needs.

(Note: These don’t apply to all Russian females, but you get the idea. It’s loosely based on Maslow’s model.)

A Russian Woman’s Hierarchy of Needs (From the Bottom-Up)

  • The basics

These include the basic human necessities: shelter, warmth, and sustenance.

What separates Russian females from others is the fact that many of them become independent at an early age, and they can provide for themselves if needed.

This means that they don’t need a man to fulfill their basic needs. So if you’re a man dating a Russian girl, you’ll need to bring more to the table than just the basics.

  • Security

For Russian girls, a sense of security and safety is vital in achieving their goals — but once again, if not provided by a fatherly figure or a worthy man, they will undoubtedly achieve this on their own, so you might need to step up your game if you want to date them.

  • Love, belonging, and sexual satisfaction

Despite the fact that Russian females have a higher level of independence and perseverance, love and sex are things that all women need on an instinctual level.

When it comes to dating in Russia, men are very chivalrous and gentlemanly, but sometimes, a Russian man can’t always get the job done.

But a dating site can.

This makes it all the more obvious that a Russian woman will go out and get whatever isn’t given to her, so the value of what you have to offer must surpass anything that these women can provide for themselves.

Traditional Russian girls value family over work.

Generations of housewives have proven that family is everything to them.

Some think that this mindset was left over from the days of the USSR, when preserving a family meant the preservation of the motherland. However, times are changing.

  • Achievement and acceptance

Everyone wants to feel accepted, regardless of gender, age, or culture. It’s a human thing.

In previous generations, living a peaceful housewife-esque life was the epitome of a Russian woman’s idea of a successful achievement.

Nowadays, as societal views towards many things continue to shift, many women in the country break free from the conventional chains of gender-confined roles in exchange for a more liberating and self-satisfactory lifestyle of their own choosing, especially since society no longer requires women to just be housewives, dishwashers, or babymakers.

Equality reigns supreme in 2021.

  • Creative expression and lack of prejudice

There’s definitely something peculiar and wholesome to behold about modern activism and feminism in Russia as a liberating experience for women to fulfill their innate desire for independence and freedom of expression — something that Russian girls have always had inside them, like a built-in feature just waiting to overflow, and now society permits it.

It’s a glorious time for an independent Russian woman to be alive in this day and age, and surely that goes for many other women as well.

And that, ladies and gentleman, is a modern Russian woman’s hierarchy of needs for you.
